SUNDAY GATHERING SERIES - “EMPTY” begins Sunday, February 6th
What is the first thought that pops into your mind when you hear empty? You might be thinking of something that is not so good. Empty usually has the connotation of being without, lacking, being in need or want. Being empty means being unhappy, lacking peace or being unfulfilled. For the most part to be empty is counter-cultural. It’s counter-intuitive. Surely if we follow Jesus we will not be empty, right? Join us for our new series Empty beginning Sunday, February 6th. Invite family and friends to join you.
D-GROUP: Biblical Community Module begins Wednesday, March 2nd
As many of you know we just completed our second D-Group this past month. D-Group as you know it is a 20 week group designed to equip people with the knowledge, skills, and discipline needed to follow Jesus. After having completed two groups now it’s become clear that more time is needed to equip those desiring to follow Jesus. Though learning is a life-long element of following Jesus there are some key truths and skills followers should understand as they being their relationship with Jesus. As a result we are launching various modules that will build on D-Group. As they are developed these modules will be made available.
On Wednesday, March 2nd we will begin our first module called D-Group (D2) Biblical Community. This class will focus on Jesus’ strategy to use community to accomplish His purpose in the church and give you practical tools to maximize you for greater effectiveness in these relationships. Because of our deep passion to equip the church, we strongly encourage everyone who has completed d-group to be a part of this group. Only those who have completed D-Group will be able to participate in this module. For those who have not taken D-Group we will be offering it again in the Fall of 2011.

OUR NEXT LOVE PROJECT: “Cuddly Comfort” February 13-March 31st
Common Ground is partnerning with the Loudoun County Rescue Squad to collect NEW stuffed animals (anything cuddly). The rescue squad often encounters siutations that are traumatic for children and young people and use the stuffed animals to help bring comfort. It’s a small way to show BIG love to those most in need in our community. Presently there are five stations in need of NEW stuffed animals. They are running short of supplies and we as a community can help. You can help by purchasing and dropping off a NEW stuffed animal (anything cuddly) at one of our drop-off locations in Loudoun from February 13th through March 31st. You can also help by rallying family and friends around this love project. Spread the news and spread the love! If you have questions please contact us at, loveproject@ecommonground.org.
